Masterbuilt 10100110 Firebox Attachment for Barrel Grills Review
This is by far the best firebox you can get in the affordable price bracket. It is constructed better than the other name brand in this price range, and has a better ash tray on the bottom. It also has porcelain cooking grates that can be easily cut on the edges to lower it, making it a perfect elevated coal rack for a better burn for smoking, etc. The door is a bit cheesey, but you don't open that much anyway. The newer version (mine), has a chrome-plated wire spring type handle, which is better than the cheap wood, which inevitibly rots.For those wondering, it also can be used on virtually any barrel grill, but will probably require you to cut the hole in the side of the grill yourself.
I own a Kingsford 30" barrel grill from Walmart, and the Kingsford is the best for the $100 price range when used with this box. I had to cut the hole in the side of it with a jigsaw and metal cutting blade, but it only took a few minutes, and then drilled some holes for the firebox bolts to attach it. When you add this firebox to it, it easily outperforms the other major brand in this price range. I highly recommend it.
