I loved to smoke using charcoal, but that can be a chore.I purchased this smoker last year and use it almost excursively now when I smoke. Works well, however I still think charcoal taste a little bit better. But, this is much less of a hassle., and works quite well.
The only drawbacks back are:
Upon arrival the door was a little bit a ajar. However, it does shut, just a little off. I don't think it matters too much in the smoking process. Finally, making minor adjustments on the heat can be tricking, just moving the adjustment dial a hair can mean the difference of 20 degrees or more. Needs a little trial and error.
Overall, for the price, it can't be beat.
