Mojobricks are compressed bricks made from the same all natural materials that have been used for years in wood pellets for pellet style cookers. While pellets are "extruded", these are simply compressed. They are all natural with no fillers and are held together using an organic polymer called Lignin.Competition BBQ teams are winning major contests using Mojobricks for their smoke. I'm just a home user that likes the concept of the compressed Mojobricks. We recently cooked 2 small pork butts in our Weber Smokey Mountain cooker, using the Fred Oak Mojobrick for smoke. I used only 1/4 of a brick and got some nice, consistant smoke for about 2 hours, resulting in a great smoke ring and smoke flavor.
When your bricks arrive, there will be some dust and chips in the bag with the bricks - nature of the beast so to speak. Simply gather up the dust and chips, and throw on the fire. No waste!
And two bricks will keep nicely in a 1 gallon zip lock bag. Keep these babies dry! I added a few pictures to the listing above.
I think the Mojobricks are a great value, as one brick will go a long way when you chop off pieces for your smoker or cooker. Toss them into your Weber Kettle grill to add some nice smoke to your next chicken, beef, or fish grilling session.
